The expertise of the further-training staff is viewed under the aspect of the competences developed in the field. The aim is for particular requirements and skills needed for further-training sessions on sexualized violence in childhood and adolescence to become clear.
Since substantial parts of this expertise are difficult to access through a standardized survey (e.g. attitude, reflection, management of difficult seminar situations), a mix of methods consisting of standardized and qualitative research is used.
- Standardized online questionnaire. It was developed in collaboration with experts working in further training.
- Expert interviews with further training instructors, in order to get a more in-depth qualitative look at the different practices and experiences. Contrastive for different further training areas. The interview participants compensated for their efforts.
- Focus groups with further-training instructors to discuss more complex questions in a group setting.
The evaluation is done in summary; neither individuals nor institutions will be identifiable. It will illustrate an analysis of commonalities that go beyond individual cases and will include examples from case studies. The results will probably be published at the end of the year and be made available for download.
